Summer 2014: A Smashing Success!
Thank you to all the guests who came out to enjoy our summer reading party on the evening of August 13!
Circus artist Pierre Duhaime entertained us with some fascinating acts and we gave out a lot of prizes. In addition, we unveiled the marvelous mystery quilt made by the children of Beaconsfield in partnership with the Beaconsfield Quilters' Guild. (Many thanks to its president, Suzanne Hurtubise.)

Summer Reading Party!

To highlight the end of our summer reading club and the kids' reading achievements this summer, you are cordially invited to our annual summer reading party.
- When? Wednesday, August 13 at 7:00 pm.
- Where? At the Recreation Centre
- What? Prizes and certificates, a show, a snack and prize draws

The Reading Tree
Have you ever admired our reading tree?
Once you finish your three reading goals :
- Come get your picture taken;
- Decorate your frame;
- And hang it on the tree!
A little reminder : you have until Tuesday, August 12 to bring us your coloured-in reading notebook!
During our Summer Reading Party on Wednesday, August 13 at 7:00 pm you will get a reading certificate and a prize if you accomplish at least one of your reading goals.

Drop-in activities :
· Monday, August 4 Discovery Activity (ages 7 to 12): 2:00 to 3:00 pm.
· Thursday, August 7: Books & Babies (ages 0 to 2) : 9:30 to 10:00 am.
· Thursday, August 7: Build’n’Read (ages 2 to 3): 10:30 to 11:15 am.
· Thursday, August 7: Outdoor Library (for all) at Windermere Park at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
· Friday, August 8: Crafty Fridays (ages 3 to 17) : between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm (the craft will take about 30 minutes).
Activities requiring registration (library card and $2 reservation fee required):·
· Tuesday, August 5: The Art of Quilting, Part I (ages 7 to 12): 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
· Tuesday, August 5: Young Chefs (ages 7 to 12 + parent): 6:00 to 7:30 pm.
